We use the SHELLSPEC code to study the light curve and line profiles of well studied bright interacting eclipsing binary system β Lyr including two stars and an optically and geometrically thick disc around the hotter, more massive gainer star assuming a semidetached configuration. Moreover, we found evidences of additional circumstellar objects in the system that have been detected with recent observations. We present the results of this model, giving physical parameters for the stars and the disc, along with general system dimensions. We discuss the evolutionary stage of the system and compare our results with some of previous ones.
